Commercial Product
World-class studio recordings that showcase our artists’ talents and personalitiesAt Swift River Music, our business is to make you the recording of your dreams: your best performance, the best supporting band and singers for your project, the best arrangements, the best sound, the best value—these are what we strive for on every project. Artists are individuals and we treat them as such—we have no cookie-cutters!
All our clients own the masters of their projects. You will be free to shop the project how and where you see fit, or to release it commercially.
SRM Pro-Demos
Full-band songwriter or performer studio recordings produced with Swift River Music’s signature care and attention to detailSRM Pro-Demos are commercial CD-quality recordings of 3-4 songs that our clients use to promote their work to potential venues, record labels, publishers, radio and others in the music business. SRM Pro-Demos are also an efficient means of working towards a commercial release for independent artists who can’t complete an entire CD at one time due to budget or time constraints. Three Pro-Demos provide you with 9-12 songs that can be put together and released as a commercial CD. Though each Pro-Demo is scheduled and completed based on your needs and resources, we take great pains to ensure they are of consistent sound and quality and that the project works as a whole. In the meantime, of course, you can use the completed SRM Pro-Demos to further your career.
Songwriter Demos
Excellent, clean & simple presentations—generally 1-2 instruments and a vocal—of original songsSRM Songwriter Demos are a cost-effective means of recording original songs to pitch to artists, record labels and music publishers. We present your songs in their best light. Though SRM Songwriter Demos are simple in terms of instrumentation, we take great care with the arrangement of the song, sound quality, and performance. We can also provide top musicians and/or vocalists, as needed.
Artist Demos
Excellent, clean & simple presentations—generally 1-2 instruments and a vocal for singers, or 1-3 instruments without a vocal for instrumentalistsSRM Singer or Instrumentalist Demos are a cost-effective means of showcasing an artist’s talents. They can be used to promote a singer or instrumentalist to songwriters, other artists, bandleaders, record labels, music publishers and others in the industry. As always, we take great care with the arrangement of the song and the sound quality, and take extra pains over the featured performance. We provide top musicians and/or vocalists in supporting roles, as needed. Since previously unreleased material gives you an edge in the music business, we can also provide excellent original songs or instrumentals, hand-picked to suit your style and abilities.
Client Critiques
An add-on service for Swift River Music recording clientsA certain amount of critique, on both artistic and commercial levels, is part of high-quality production by definition. Still, occasionally a client profits from a little extra help with their performing or songwriting skills. At Swift River Music, since our business is about making you look your best, we will let you know if we think you will benefit from this service. There is an additional up-front charge for this service. However, in terms of songwriting, no matter how much you benefit from our critique, you make the actual fixes and you retain the copyright for your song.
Co-Writing
An add-on service for Swift River Music recording clientsIn rare cases, a client has a song in his or her portfolio that is based on a great idea but needs a re-write rather than an edit. If, for whatever reason, the writer wants us to contribute to the re-writing rather than doing it him- or herself, it becomes a co-write. Co-writing differs from critiquing in that everyone who works on the song becomes a co-author and is listed in the copyright equally. There is no up-front charge for our input as co-writers.
